Q1: My three best photos were the baseball, my dog, and the bokeh affect of the ball.
Q2: I made the baseball picture interesting because I used side lighting. One side of the ball is lit up, while the other side has very little light. In Picasa I brought out the shadows to emphasize the side lighting in the picture. I also took the shot from the ground from an angle level with the ball, I set the camera on the ground and took the picture. The picture of my dog was also side lighting. This picture was also a lot like the baseball picture, I put a black and white filter on the picture, and emphasized the shadows lighting only one side of my dogs face. I also took the picture from an angle slightly higher than my dog which made her look smaller. My third picture was a bokeh shot. This shot was challenging to take, I had to repeatedly take it until I got the final shot that I wanted. I set up Christmas lights in the background and set my camera to a wide aperture. The bokeh turned out well and had a good affect on the picture.
Q3: I learned how to use aperture during this assignment which really helped me when taking bokeh shots and using a wide aperture. I also learned how to do light painting, by keeping the shutter open for seconds and using a light source to create different types of images. One thing that I thought I could improve on was my back lighting photos, I didn't like my back lighting pictures as much as my side lighting or bokeh, I didn't think they turned out as well, and I could improve on them.
