Frans Lanting Pictures and Questions
Underwater: I think that this picture is amazing because it would be very hard to take. Lanting would have to be underwater and try to keep the camera steady as he floats around. I think that this would be very hard to take and it would require a lot of school.
Penguins: This shot is amazing because it would require a lot of positioning. Lanting would have to be very far away from the penguins to take this picture and he would have to be in a good position higher up than the penguins to take this picture.
Deer: I think that this picture is amazing because I like how all of the deer are lined up. He would have to be very patient and wait for the deer to get in the right position. I also like how all the deer's reflections line up on the water.

African Tree Photo: I picked this photo because it shows an emotion. The one tree in the middle of the African Savanna shows loneliness, but at the same time it shows happiness. It can show happiness because of the nice African weather but it is the only tree in the area so it is also showing a sadness/loneliness.
Baseball Glove: I picked this photo for a few different reasons. One reason I chose this photo was because I enjoy playing baseball. Another reason I chose this photo was because I liked how only the ball stuck out in the picture. The ball is the most important part of the picture, and I liked how the photographer showed this by making the ball stand out.
Michigan Stadium: I chose the picture of the Michigan Stadium because it is a place that I have been. I liked the angle of the photo because it gets almost all of the stadium into one condensed picture. The photographer really showed the whole stadium instead of just a small portion.
Wave: I chose this picture because I liked the natural light of the sun. Another reason I chose this photo was because of the fast shutter speed. The fast shutter speed really brings out the details in the wave and makes it much more clear.
Chairlift: I chose the chairlift because I ski a lot. This photo had a really nice angle, because it is shot from a low a low angle. I also liked it because the angle allows the viewer to see the chairlift and the mountain.
Highway: The highway picture was appealing to me because of the slow shutter speed. The slow shutter blurs the movement of the cars on the highway, making it look cool.
